editorial page takes us to Canada and a controversy going

on now more than three years, having to do with an allegation that is not proved that at

some point between the 19th and 20th century, Native American children,

Native Canadian children at schools that were provided by religious institutions, in some fashion suffered alarming deaths

and that those deaths need to be examined in graves that remain.

All of these allegations, however, are with caveats.

Mary, a very good evening to you. I was very careful as you are in your column about

this because so much of this is allegation so little of it is proved. First, about the graves, I remember at first coming up in British Columbia at Cam Loops.

As of now, the allegation is based on information from ground penetrating radar.

Has there been further examination of the grave sites?
