Conrad, your most recent column at the National Post

identifies the Globe and Mail of having chosen sides in the

contest between President Biden and former President Trump. Is this something

they've done before? Did they choose sides between Eisenhower and

Stevenson? That sort of thing. Good evening to you. Yeah, good evening to you, Sean.

I think they have at times shown a preference but I go back for example having lived intermittently

in Toronto for a great many years and the global mail does circulate elsewhere in the country.

You know, I've been familiar with it for one time and it did, for example, endorse President Lyndon Johnson of her Barry Goldwater.

A lot of foreigners were concerned about Goldwater.

And I think it, I have a it it was sort of ambivalent between Reagan and

Carter but and it ended it it was it was very measured between Nixon and Kennedy. I believe it was all it

also said that both President Eisenhower and Governor Stevenson were admirable men capable of holding the office.

So they don't feel compelled to select a favored candidate, but they do it occasionally.

But I have never known them to do as they did in this occasion

eat praise on one candidate and then integrate the other candidate in an extremely lopsided way.
