Emily, I had intended for us just to talk about your recommended kids books,

but there's a breaking news story this morning that's pretty significant.

Is it less likely that water's been flowing on the surface of Mars?

Well this is a story that's been going back and forth for many years so I doubt it's

the end of the story but there was a press

release this morning about research done by the USGS, US Geological Survey

indicating that the slopes on which these recurring slope liney

occur on Mars.

These are recurring features that happen seasonally

are high enough that you could make them happen,

that they can mostly be a dry process made by grains just tumbling down the slope.
