Canada, the recent balloon diplomacy between the United States and Beijing,

also includes Ottawa, what is to be done with the sovereignty of Canada

and the aggression of the people's Republic of China.

Gordon Chang, I've Gordon G. Chang is with me, my colleague and co-host,

and we're very pleased to welcome Charles Burton of the Macdonaldoria Institute to comment

on how Canada is explaining and planning for the past and the future with regard Chinese aggression.

Charles, a good day to you. Have a globe and mail piece,

but you have brought statistics to my attention these last week,

that are striking. The one that got my attention was Japan has 46 people,

accredited diplomatically in China. The UK has 23.

The People's Republic of China has 146, suggesting that Canadian food is excellent,

but at the same time, what do they do with their spare time?

And now I come to or comment by a previous minister of defense Peter McKay in these last days.
