Summary

Welcome to the Go + Tell Gals Podcast! This season on the podcast, we want to answer the questions you’re already asking. This episode, we are into something very real with someone who has experienced this in deep ways: Can we talk about addiction and freedom? Jess and special guest, Irene Rollins, talk about addiction while running on mission. Irene Rollins is the founder of Marriage Equation, a recovery activist, mother of three, and certified Emotional Intelligence Coach who focuses her time to help others overcome their self-defeating habits comes from her life experience as an overcomer of alcohol addiction and trauma.

Her new book Reframe Your Shame: Experience Freedom from What Holds You Back helps us all find where we lie on the map to recovery and gives tools to unpack our emotions that stem from shame. It’s raw, real and honest and challenges us to step into the light with our struggles because you’re not alone.

Our hope is that this episode encourages you to seek help where you may need and guides you in ways that you can create a safe space for your loved ones to speak of their struggles and shame.

We are on your team as we encourage ourselves to share with each other in a shame-free way as we come honestly to ourselves and others because God can handle it.

If you are struggling with addiction or know and love someone who is struggling, God’s compassion is not cut off from you, and He is moving toward you in grace and love. He loves his daughters, He loves you. He is mighty in you.
