Number one, Trump's new war against that independence. Number two, can Republicans put corn on top in the midterms? And number three, the latest from defense policy, Republicans' tough love for defense contractors.

All right, Jake, let's get into it.

We are leading Punchable News AM with the new shots fired by President Donald Trump and his

administration opening up a legal case against Fed Chair Jay Powell. This is something that has been simmering

for quite a while. Certainly Trump's frustration with the Fed over its unwillingness to raise or to

lower rates, rather, as much as he would like. And we're in the next phase here that a lot of

Republicans were hoping would

never happen. Yeah. Another day where our addition was blown up at, you know, late on a Sunday,

which I was, I was very pleased about, as you could imagine, but that's the business that we're in.

And you said it right. This is the moment that a lot of Republicans thought never wanted

to happen, which is the administration is investigating, and Jay Powell has confirmed this. They came

into the Fed and they are looking into statements he made to Congress about the renovation of the

Federal Reserve's complex or buildings in Washington. Now, this is a long-running issue that

Trump says he has, which is that the project is over budget, it's late, and it's going to include

a whole host of luxury things for Jay Powell and for the Federal Reserve, which Jay Powell and

the Federal Reserve say is completely false. Man, what a bad weekend.
