After seven violent years, can President Bush bring peace to a scarred holy land?

I'm Jim Sterngold sitting in for Warren Only, and this is to the point from Public Radio International.

A daily look at the issues Americans care about most. President Bush is finally trying to

broker peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Their leaders have agreed to come to

Annapolis next week, but nothing else is certain. It is not clear who will attend, how much support

they will provide, or how much room the leaders have

for compromise. With just a year left in office, the president is struggling to make history

against very tough odds. On reporter's notebook later on, Thanksgiving starts a big movie season,

but few films promise as much debate as an odd look at Bob Dylan. First, here's the news.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is leading a final push for Mid-East Peace next week in Annapolis.

There are already harsh critics, but she has invited 49 participants,
