International charity ActionAid has been working with refugee communities in northern Uganda,

helping women heal from gender-based violence.

Women like Monica from South Sudan, who found a safe space to recover from her trauma and learn leadership skills.

Monica now helps empower other women too.

Now I can stand talking front of people, even talk in front of men without fear,

telling them that this is right, this is wrong. This winter, help ActionAid provide life-saving

services and support to refugee women and girls as they heal, learn, work and thrive.
