Tonight, super excited about the topic tonight uh prophecy

what is prophecy can we all prophesy this is a hot topic in the church there's actually

many of you don't know this because you're super radical in the chat but guys you know there's a

huge group of christians in america and throughout the world that teach and believe God

doesn't speak anymore. And the idea is God spoke in the word. God doesn't speak today. Prophecy's

not alive. There's no spirit of prophecy active in the earth. And so we kind of just have the

Bible and that's it. But on the contrary, Paul talks a lot about prophecy. The Bible talks a lot

about prophecy. And we're going to talk about some of that today.

Do you guys want to just start us out with, let's just go really general, really basic?

Like, what is prophecy?

What is the gift of prophecy?

Many in the chat have never prophesied.

We believe tonight after it's going to change that all of you will prophesy.

But one of you want to start us out with like just basics of what is prophecy?

Well, first and foremost, let's start off scriptural and theological.

The testimony, the book of Revelation says the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

So all prophetic utterances, whether Old Testament, New Testament,

whether major prophets, minor prophets, messianic prophecies, they're all leading up until the appearing of the Messiah for Israel.
