Welcome back, everybody, to the Football Guys Daily Update. You give us 10 minutes. We'll give you

everything you need to know to make you the most informed fantasy football player in your league.

I'm Mike Dempsey, along with Football Guys own Bob Harris. And Bob, we have a trade in the

AFC North Cincinnati and Cleveland getting some business done in the state of Ohio. As the Bengals

acquire Joe Flacco from Cleveland, Bob, I'll just ask the obvious.

Is this an upgrade for the Cincinnati passing games? So, as you can imagine, there was a lot of

conversation in the old football guy's internal chat about this. Jason Wood pointed out that

in the last three years, Brownings completed 68.4% of his passes to Flacco's 61.8. Brownings average 7.3 yards

per attempt to Flacco's 6.8. Browning has a 4.9 touchdown rate to Flacko's 4.4%. Flacco's slightly

better, but still horrible interception rate, 3.4 to 4.0. Browning averages 4.3 yards per rushing attempt to Flacco's 1.7. So the argument, though, on the other side is Matt Waldman made it. It's not a one-to-one comparison because Jamar Chase, T. Higgins, Chase Brown, and even the outliers, Andreoshevis, Mike Kaseki, Noah fan, offer much more firepower than Jerry Judy, David and Joku, and Harold Fann & Jr.

in Cleveland. So the idea is Flacko offers more upside with a better supporting cast.

It feels to me like the Bengals are chasing the late season run with the Browns and earned Flacko

comeback player of the year honors in 2023. Also reminds me of fantasy managers chasing

Josh Gordon's magical 2013 season or or Darren Waller's

2019 to 2020 output Gordon never delivered but but maybe Waller is and maybe Flacco can with a

more magic with a more magical talent yeah he's got a lot of talent around him obviously uh the bengals

by the way released Mike white to make room uh for this move so they're talking about trying to get him ready to go on the road versus Green Bay this week. Look, we're going to play Jamar Chase if you or I were playing quarterback. But if you played T. Higgins last week, are you more or less inclined to play him in week six if Flacco gets to start on less than a week's preparation.

I'm going to keep playing them with the current expectations, hoping that an improving schedule

after this week's game against the Packers helps everybody involved.
