Congress today as the threat of yet another partial government shutdown looms over Homeland Security

funding and the way ICE conducts

its operations. One place we could start in this negotiation, you guys end sanctuary policies,

and we'll talk about how ICE effectuates arrests and detentions. And Lisa Brady, new rules for drivers

in one state after a deadly crash last summer.

The commission. I'm Jason Rance. I've got the final word on the Fox News rundown. The Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, the acting director of ICE and the director of USCIS,

are all expected to testify today before the House Homeland Security Committee,

as the government looks at another possible partial shutdown if

Homeland Security funding isn't passed by the end of the week. Democrats are demanding reforms

to ICE. We believe that ICE should conduct itself like every other law enforcement agency in the

country. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries told Fox's Martha McCallum last week.

So there are a variety of reforms

that need to be put into place that the American people are demanding. Senate Minority Leader Chuck

Schumer mentioned some of those reforms on the Senate floor. Ice needs to end roving patrols,

follow basic standards of accountability, and end the secret police who are masked and unidentified.

But it's the demand that ICE obtain judicial warrants rather than administrative ones that Republicans say is a non-starter, including House Speaker Mike Johnson.
