The Oh, Hello everyone welcome to the Sparkle Stories podcast This is Elizabeth of Sparkle Stories. And this month our theme is adventure.

And this week I've picked kind of a funny one. Our weekly theme is Summer Camp, and I did it in part because there are so many stories

interestingly in the Sparkle Library about camps, about camp experiences, about camp experiences, about

creating camps, about camps outside the home,

about camps inside the home,

and I kind of thought it might be fun to feature camps

as a way of inspiring you. If you're in the middle of your summertime, if you're in the

northern hemisphere, and you're feeling like, hmm, what am I supposed to do with myself?

Listen into our camp stories, because I promise promise you and I've heard this from other

sparklers they will give you ideas about creating your very own camp

experience in your very own home.

And I think that's kind of fun.

So the story I've picked is called

Camp Over the Hills and Far Away.

It's another favorite.

It's from the Bithistle by Thimble series, which we don't feature a lot on the podcast.

And in the Bithistle by Thimble stories, there's always something magical that happens.

In this story, there's a child named Francis that wants to go to a particular camp, but the problem is everyone tells her it doesn't exist

But then one morning at the library she finds this flyer for a camp named over the hills and far away. It's not only a perfect

camp, it's a bit of a magical camp and it's a camp that really sees her for the fullness

of who she is.

And we all love that experience.
