Welcome to the First Cut podcast. I'm Rick Gaiman and this is your recap episode for this week's

Players Championship joining me to break it all down. Kyle Porter is here. KP took an extra day,

but we've made it. We have crowned a new player's champion. We have. I was just,

before you jumped on, producer Jacob and I were talking, was this a, was this a good tournament? Was it a, I mean, and this is kind of what I wrote afterwards. It was, the whole week was chaotic, right? From Thursday morning until Monday evening, it was chaos. And it felt like the ending we got was sort of representative of that,

emblematic of that. It sort of served as this like prism through which to see the event.

Because you had two hours before it ended, Rick, you had 24 guys at 6, 7, 8, or 9 under.

Yep.

And that's a little bit what the whole, if you were to describe the whole week based on

like a golf statement, that's what the whole week felt like.

And the ending was great.

We have a ton to talk about.

But yeah, I don't, I don't leave the tournament feeling

like I did when, say, Ricky won or Rory won or JT won, but there's still a ton of takeaways and a ton

of storylines that we're going to discuss. Yeah, I think it was a great, great tournament. You got,

of course, half the field got wiped out because of the weather.

That stinks.
