take a backseat for just a little

bit. There's a lot of things going on in the world right now. One particular important issue

that I think we all need to talk about, and that's the fact that sports are boycotting games.

That's right. NBA, WNBA, and its entirety walked off the court or just didn't play their postseason games.

The playoffs for NBA and WNBA in its entirety just decided not to play games on Wednesday.

A few MLB teams did the same thing, and that is in protest to important things going on.

Jacob Blake, of course, was shot seven times by police in Wisconsin, and I don't understand

why this keeps happening.

I'm so lucky that I get to cover the A's because I've been

able to listen and learn from infielder Tony Kent and Marcus Simeon, and they played their game

on Wednesday night, the A's versus the Rangers, and a lot of grief was kind of thrown out at them.

They said they didn't hear a bunch of backlash,

but unfortunately, when I'm reporting the news, my mentions blow up. Well, why did they play?

We spoke to both Bob Melvin and Marcus Simeon, and a lot of these situations that occurred,

or this particular situation, I should say, had to do with the fact that it was a last-minute

...
