Summary

Life is suffering. At least, it's full of suffering. Unfortunately, too many men avoid voluntary suffering and, instead, choose the path of least resistance. But that path leads to a life of complacency and mediocrity.

My guest today is a man who runs (literally) towards suffering and hardship, not to make life harder than it needs to be but to prepare himself for what will inevitably come. His name is Cam Hanes. He's a bowhunter first, an ultra-endurance athlete, and an incredibly motivating human being. Today, we talk about the purpose of suffering, making the decision to make yourself into something more, why working harder than others will always produces results, finding mentorship and friendship, dealing with negativity from others, his new book Endure, and why every man ought to embrace the mantra, "Train Hard, Hunt Easy."
