So this is Super Bowl week, and I know it's been a while since Super Bowl 23, but I'm sure the

memories flood into your brain of all the things that was going on during the week leading

up to your Super Bowl, and you've talked about it many times, and people go back and watch

these games and evaluate them, and it was a classic, classic game in that Super Bowl.

And Rick at Maine has a take on your Super Bowl.

He has seen it maybe recently, and his mind was, his memory was jogged.

Hey, I was just wondering, I just saw a documentary about the 49ers in the 80s, and Boomer,

you guys went up by three late in the game with a field goal.

I was just wondering why you couldn't pick up that first down or, you know, say some time, or, you know, take some time off

the clock or punch it in for a touchdown? What do you remember about that boomer?

Yeah, we tried.

Why couldn't you, though? I think we actually had a penalty right before that third down.

I think we, I think we had a false start penalty somewhere in there. Okay. On that last drive, then we had to settle for a Jim Breach field goal, which gave us the lead. And then Joe Montana led his team to a 97-yard touchdown drive to win the game at the end of the game. So the answer is it is the guy who's the full start penalty and then his defense, Rick.

That's why they lost the game. Translation. Yeah, I appreciate that, Rick. Thanks. And thanks for bringing that up. Yeah. Yeah. You know, actually, thinking back to that, the first half was three, three between our two teams. And not much going back and forth. And I think even their field goal kicker, I think, was it Mike Koffer, I think, missed the field goal, a short field goal in that first half, I believe, like a 19-yarder or something. Yeah. And in the second half started, we actually had a good drive that led to a field goal. And then we lost the possession because we had a kickoff return for a touchdown by the great

Stanford Jennings.

So we lost an offensive possession there, but we got the touchdown.

That was the only touchdown we scored in that game.
