The condor has landed right here. I'm a very special place, a wildlife refuge in Southern California.

So we're creeping in to see if we can get a glimpse using this building here at the facilities,

like there's like cover so we can sneak up on it, hopefully it won't fly away.

I'm here with some biologists from the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

So we're going to try to walk this way and then come in and make a walk into sneak in.

We quietly tiptoe our way across a dry, grassy field using the building as cover.

It's attached to a fence structure that's used to capture endangered condors,

and this is my chance to see one for the first time, but they're timid.

We walk into the building to get a good look at it through the window.

I bring my binoculars up to my eyes and there he is, a giant male on top of an animal carcass.

The condor is feasting on the carcass, left out to draw them into the research facility here.

Oh, good. Oh, it's taking off. Yeah, stretching those massive wings, that's awesome.

What a sight.

Yeah, it's like when it's compared to the Ravens.

Oh my god, the Ravens look like Sparrows.
