Hey everyone, welcome to the Sarah Carter show today. It's good to be back. Happy New Year to all of you who didn't see my

podcast at the end of the year. If you didn't, go back and check those out. But today we will be

covering the wildfires in California, the mass devastation that we all are witnessing.

That was my home. California is where I was born. I covered wildfires there

when I was a young reporter of working at the Daily Bulletin for the Los Angeles News Group.

So I know up close and personal how devastating these fires can be. But I've never seen anything

like this. In all my years, in all my years, I have never seen

the gross negligence and the horror of what is happening to the residents in California.

It is absolutely astonishing. It doesn't even look like we live in America. That's how horrible this is.

So I'm bringing in my good friend, Kira Davis, who is not only a Los Angeles resident.
