However, Bill also writes for California on your mind and he takes us to a moment

in California history that is puzzling if you look at it from the outside, an appearance of

the governor, Governor Gavin Newsom,

who has won several times, one recall, one real election,

one real election, one real election.

Very popular figure, young, great hair, and is out and about all the time presenting his candidacy

to the world, not just California.

His trip through the south was a marvel of coordination and tirelessness.

Recently, however, I saw a video that just came my way, I don't know why,

of the governor on a Zoom call with a number of dignitaries in California, I believe they were all mayors. But before the meeting began, for reasons I can't figure, the governor wanted to tell a story about buying $380 worth of merchandise at a

target store and in the meat and while he was doing this he observed shoplifting walking out in front of him and therein lies a strange

target why he chose to buy so much and then comment on somebody stealing and

how it is the presentation included the clerk or the person

who was helping the governor not recognizing the governor I can't imagine any more recognizable face at a target line.
