My goodness.

This team just continues to slather on the storylines, even as the season continues, to be an absolute abomination.

At 2 and 9, not much to talk about when it comes to the X's and O's of specific football games, but there's plenty to talk about with this organization big picture.

And today we will start by asking the question, did Bill Belichick just give us a clue that the Mac Jones era is officially over?

We're recording this on Wednesday afternoon.

We're fresh off the Patriots practice field.

And while we were out there, we were allowed to see a portion of the team's practice.

So beyond just the stretching period, which we oftentimes get.

And Mack Jones didn't take a single snap at the quarterback position and practice.

Bailey Zappy took the vast majority of quarterback reps, throwing to tight ends and receivers.

And Malik Cunningham looked like the number two taking a handful of snaps of his own.

So is the Mac Jones era officially over Bill Belichick at his Wednesday press conference?

I said he wasn't prepared to announce a starter, but it looked like, based on the media

availability portion of the first practice of the week, for whatever that's worth, it looks like

Mac Jones will take a seat.

Bailey Zappi will start.

And maybe just maybe, Malie Cunningham is the number two.
