Hello from CNN. I'm Joe Beck, with the five things you need to know for Wednesday, February 26th. President Donald

Trump is holding his first cabinet meeting of his second term today. And it could be a little awkward,

because Elon Musk is expected to be there, even though he's not officially part of the cabinet,

and he's recently had some tension with people who are.

We asked CNN's Elena Trine what's likely to be discussed.

Yeah, Joe, I was told by White House officials that really this cabinet meeting is kind

of a touch base to make sure that all of them are rowing in the right direction.

But one of the most interesting parts of this, of course, is what you mentioned, which is that Elon Musk is expected to be there.

As well, it comes as I've been told by multiple Trump administration officials

that some of these cabinet secretaries have been growing frustrated with him

and some of the directives that Doge has been sending out.

Meanwhile, the White House press office says it will now handpick the journalists that get

to follow Trump as part of the official reporter pool.

The move breaks away from decades of precedent, and critics say it could threaten media

independence.
