As most of you surely have remembered,

Sunday is Mother's Day.

And what a strange Mother's Day it will be, too,

with most of us still at home and the typical celebratory restaurant brunches off the table.

That so many of us are away from our moms this weekend

seems to be spurring many folks to spend more money

celebrating her, however.

The National Retail Federation, the NRF, says we plan to spend more on this Smothers Day than ever before.

About $205 per person, that's up $8 or so from last year, and 2019 was a record year.
