I'm Stuart Mandel here at Big Ten Media Days in Las Vegas with Bruce Feldman, a rare opportunity for us to both be in the same place.

We were recording from Bruce's room. And I have to say, I was relieved when, when we walked in to the room.

I'm like, is that your used underwear or fresh underwear?

I've only been here. I've only been here for like 12 hours.

So it's stuff that I've unpacked.

But then instead of going and putting in the suitcase, you just kind of threw it on the table

where we were going to record.

I didn't know you were such a delicate flower.

I didn't know that offended you.

So we are here and it's in the convention center and a lot of, you know, it's kind of weird for the Big Ten to be here because we've been here for the Big 12. We were here for the Pact 12.

Yeah, it's my third straight year at a conference media days here for the third different conference. And since this Big Ten week, we are going to do...

It's actually your fourth. Oh, there's a Mountain West one in there.

We did buy sell hold for the SEC last week. We had a lot of fun with that. We're going to do that for the Big Ten as well. The difference is we weren't at SEC Media Days last week. So we figured we would talk a little bit about the first day here.

The first day means that Tony Petiti, the commissioner, gives his little state of the union address and fields questions.

And what's notable at that is it was the first time, this has been over a year of this.

Are they going to do automatic bids or not automatic bids in the CFP discussion?

Other than a podcast appearance with Joel Platt, maybe a month ago,

he's never actually talked about it publicly.

So this was a lot of him pitching us, the media,

by extension the public, on his, the Big Ten,

they really, really want a 16-team playoff with four automatic births for the Big Ten in SEC, two for the Big 12 in the ACC, one for the group of five, and then three had larges.
