And today we're talking about kind of a deep topic,

kind of a topic that's a little bit deeper than we typically get into here.

But it's something I'm passionate about because I remember what it was like to build

DJConnection.com from my dorm room to the boardroom.

Now, this table, Steve, that we have right here, that's the table that used to be in the

Man Cave Studios. That's the table that used to be in the in the Man Cave Studios. That's the

table that I used to have as my boardroom in my office at DJ Connection. I kept it brought it over.

I remember what it was like to be in an office where my company, DJ Connection, we made

$167 per wedding we did. And we would do in a typical

weekend like 80. So I'm in a room with a lot of people in Tulsa. I mean, there's doctors. There's

Dr. Steve. There's Dennis. There's lawyers. And a lot of those guys don't make $167 times 80 a week. Right. And I'm in the room and I remember I getting invited because I won Entrepreneur of the Year for the City of Tulsa when I was 20 for young entrepreneur of the year. Then I won a quality award from the U.S. Chamber for a quality control standard where they independently, you can volunteer to have your company independently audited and if you

score a certain level then you can move up and and you know I just won a lot of awards and and

things were good but people would talk to me like I was mildly retarded because I was a disc jockey

yeah they'd say well what do you do for a living I said said, well, I started a DJ company, and immediately they would go, oh, okay, all right. And it was almost like they wanted to get like hand puppets and go, well, basically, what we're going to talk about now is accounting. I mean, it was like, we're going to talk about tax law. And it was almost like I was retarded because I wasn't doing mortgages or something. And so I was just praying that at some point I could become a source of wisdom.

And now I do a AM talk radio show where we're broadcasting in Portland, baby, and in Tulsa,

Oklahoma and other markets, Portland, Oregon.
