The August jobs report is in, and the numbers tell us the labor market is

definitely cooling off. Now we see the Federal Reserve saying there is an

underlying weakness you know in the economy with jobs and so these are these are sort of concerning at the way that this is

slowing down. Well this morning we finally got the much anticipated August jobs report

showed the economy added just 142,000 jobs.

Now, not only did these numbers fall short of economists' expectations for job growth,

the Labor Department has also revised its reports for June and July.

So that lowered the estimates of jobs added by 86,000 total.

Now, even before this news, it was a Rocky week for Wall Street.

You had tech companies taking

hits and the reliable chip stock and video right it saw its greatest one-day

market cap loss in US history and now investors are reading this week jobs report and that's also reacting

you're seeing that manifest in the markets. In 2024 election news former

President Trump shared some of his economic policy on Thursday in his speech at the New York Economic Club.

He voted a few things, tax cuts for domestic manufacturers, a sovereign wealth fund,

and he teased a government efficiency commission that would be led by Tesla's Elon Musk.

Let's start with the obvious right. We added 142,000 jobs. That was a pickup from July, but certainly not as many of economists were

expecting I mean last month a cooler than expected jobs report spurred major

market chitters and it turns out it was actually worse than what we saw because of
