This was all day late from BBC Sports and BBC Five Live.

It is just gone 11.30 as we're recording this. We did have another podcast ready to go,

but we're back in. Steve Crossman has been at Giggling today. It's now back at home.

We're back in the studio. We'll be speaking to Mike Minay a little bit later on as well,

he's still at Giggling talking to Barry fans after their expulsion from the EFL.

Steve, you've been there all day and you've been there for the last few days.

Just try and put into some kind of order what's been happening, what the process has been.

Yeah, so I was last there before today. I was last there on Friday and there was a deadline

on that day of midnight and basically the owner, Steve Dale, have been told,

you've got to show us, this is the EFL saying this, you've got to show us by midnight tonight

that you can produce the funds that you've got the money to keep running this football club.

That's option one. Option two is you've got to sell the club and that's it.

So it should really have been done and dusted by Friday and late on Friday night,

it became clear that this company called CNN Sporting Risk.

We're in a position to show the EFL that they could fund a takeover and then it was just a case of,

I don't necessarily say, you know, ducking the eyes and crossing the teeth,

but it was the due diligence they wanted to look through the books,

they wanted to look at the situation with the stadium,

they wanted to look at everything associated with the prospect of taking over a club

and the EFL gave them an extension through till 5pm today on Tuesday.

And waking up this morning, I didn't give it a second thought.
