What a week.

So, look, obviously this has been a very sad week for the country, but I did just want

to take a moment to tell you what I've been thinking about before we get to interviews

and voices from the protest because just thinking through what we've been seeing was useful

for me.

So, you know, over the course of the past week, you know, our country already reeling

from an unchecked pandemic and the shutdown of our economy erupted in protest in response

to the murders of George Floyd, Ahmad Aubrey, and Breonna Taylor, and an endless catalog

of racist abuses in the justice system and incidents of unchecked police brutality and

violence.

And, you know, I feel like the question that's been on a lot of people's minds is like,

how did we get here?
