A businessman in Texas, failed congressional candidate in one race. That was hard. Okay. It was not failed.

It was a noble effort and made an important point that there's no room for anyone who's critical

of Trump in the Republican Party anymore.

It was a 2% moral victory, I think.

That was a few years ago anyway.

And I guess most important for our Marine veteran, a combat veteran.

And now, most importantly for this conversation, the author of a really excellent substack,

the most recent of which was really striking, the end of P really excellent substack, the most recent of which was really

striking, the end of Pax Americana. It's a from the future in 2039, a little essay and really

thought provoking. So I thought we'd talk about that and then talk a little bit about maybe

what's going on in the Defense Department as well, which you're plugged into and obviously

know a lot about. So Michael, thanks for,

again. It's good to talk. How are things in Virginia? Oh, great. Good, actually. I have to vote

tomorrow and early a week out.

I think we'll have a good election result from my point of view here. So Virginia is one of the, actually, the better states of the union right now, maybe, you know. And Yon, for all that I'm not in love with him, has kind of protected us weirdly from the last time of the Trump stuff because he's a Republican governor. so they haven't bothered too much
