Welcome to the barnyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard. Hope it's a payday for you. It's Friday. For you weekly and biweekly wage runners, today's a good day. It's 15th, right? Maybe you've got a little extra cash. Go get out and do some cool things. Go out to eat, go to the show, whatever you want to do. Maybe you've got just got to pay some bills but either way i hope that your anxiety is somewhat lessened by the fact that perhaps

you have some more money in your pocket a lot to talk about today i guess we'll talk about some

basketball i don't know that i really want to talk about basketball i'm a little bit frustrated like

many of you,

but we'll talk our way through it. How about that? And we'll look forward to a weekend ahead,

hopefully a chance for the Bulldogs to rebound literally and figuratively. So we'll get into all that, some more recruiting talk to. We'll talk some Zach Arnett stuff later in the show. But

bottom line is,

is that, you know, here we are. And I would say most of the season, with the exception

that opening weekend, men's basketball has probably exceeded expectations. And I would say

so far women's basketball has not met expectations. But we're going to break some of that down.

But listen, I hear it.

I see you guys, too, and I don't think any side of any of this is without merit.

I think everybody sees it kind of for what it is, and we're also emotionally invested

in the outcome of Mississippi State sporting events.

We want to win.

We're not just watching to watch we're not just watching

because these players represent our school and our home state we're watching because we expect to win

and i can assure you everybody administration knows that but uh certainly a lot of disagree gnarnell bulldog

fans out here today as it relates to men's or women's basketball.

But again, I think we've got to use a little bit of patience here in some respects on both

sides of defense.

And, you know, probably one of those deals where, you know, it's probably been a little bit
