Best gift I've ever received has to be a bike when I was younger, a pedal bike.

It was a sort of slick little road bike and I remember it was all like, it was so, it was all wrapped up,

it was so obvious what it was obviously because nothing's shaped like a bike and I had a little ribbon on it and I was so

a guest. For that was a life changer and I'm still sort of big on cycling around my area now so, for that one change me a little.

Hey guys, welcome back in to Cover 3 Podcasts. It's Bud Elliott with College Football Summer School and now we're going to turn the pages in our summer books to NC State where Corey Smith of Packed Pride has kind of joined us.

What's going on, Bud? How are you doing, man? Welcome to the show, man. I'm excited to talk to NC State team. It was very good to me as podcast listeners know last year and nine and three UCLA kind of screwed them with the whole bowl game stuff with the late notice.

Pretty consistently played like a top 15 squad, a little bit of stuff in their toe, but overall in one of the best years in C State has had and quite some time.

Yeah, I mean, you think back to it, you know, that Mississippi State game at the beginning of the season, they win that one and the outlook of the season is a lot different.

You know, if they don't come up short against Wake Forest Miami, you know, that's it's a completely different looking team, but you know, obviously they lost a couple and it was plenty for them to want to accomplish this upcoming season.

And I think that's why a lot of the guys came back.

Certainly would be a lot more expectations on the team this year. I don't think we're going to be so fortunate to have Vegas hangout six and a half or seven for the win total wager there.

I want to start the opposite side of the ball because this is really an intriguing unit for me nationally and one that I watch a lot and sometimes I'm very impressed and sometimes I'm a little bit frustrated.

39th nationally and a lot of the power ratings kind of average together. Run game was not very efficient, but they ran it a ton and they also threw it a ton to the backs, which they weren't really all that efficient doing so.

And then they're like, all right, third night, Larry, bail us out. He's got you. No, no problem.

What are you thinking this year as far as their approach?

Yeah, I mean, you know, we asked them a lot about that throughout the season as Doran and you know, asked players about that, you know, and obviously, Larry not only in third night situations, but in fourth quarters.

I mean, you think back to that UNC game, you know, try to bail them back out and get them back into that Miami game as well.
