I thought the Oilers were a better team.

They were good.

We weren't good enough.

I thought they outplayed us, out worked us, and out-coached us. Is that the discussion after one period where they kind of carried the point of a game? Yeah. I mean, after the first period, we said we were lucky to be up to nothing. They were to better team. You know, we scored, and we got to get better. I thought we got better in a second.

I thought we're good in a second.

Passed up too many opportunities to push the lead, you know.

We were a very non-competitive team offensively tonight. Turning down shots, not driving to hard areas, not winning enough

battles to create ozone time. You know,

um, so it's a good lesson for us to learn.

Because they played well.

That was Jim Montgomery last night after that Bruins loss.

One of the few really bad losses they've had this year. I know they've only had nine, so not a lot to choose from, but that was a bad one. Everyone was sort of geared up for a marquee matchup. And now they laid an egg. I thought Montgomery, I haven't heard him talk like that all season long. Maybe he has. I missed it, but I haven't heard it.

I haven't heard him say those sort of things.

That whole game was a dud. Yeah, it really was. Non-competitive offensively. Non-competitive. So that happened. And, Maz, I guess you would say that's a good thing. Oh, absolutely. Look, again. Seriously, take a couple of losses,

remind you every now and then that it's not that easy.

Like, again, what's the real penalty of losing that game last night for them? Reality check. Reality check. They could use a reality check. I don't mind a loss here and there. Especially one like that.
