Hey, I don't know if anyone's brought this up, but it's a real slap in the face to Red Sox Nation.

John Henry buys a house on Nantucket for $36 million, and he wants to cheap out on Devers and Bogart.

I mean, they need to resign both of those guys, not just one.

Okay, so I thought one of the most outrageous comments I've heard in a while,

or that set me off more than the comment that set me off today,

as much as any comment I've read in a long time, is after, again, telling Alex Speer in the globe, that it takes two to make a deal, we're still in building mode.

We can't sign everybody, I'm paraphrasing here, but that was the overriding tone of the comments to Alex Spear.

He says this.

He says, the game continues to change and evolve.

Everyone focuses on salaries, which I totally understand.

But there's a lot of money being spent by clubs on baseball operations.
