a wonderful interview, but I need to address something extremely important. Former Metz GM, Jared Jared Porter sent lewd messages, including a D-Pick.

Y'all know what that is, to a female reporter back in 2016 when he was with the Cubs organization.

I say former because he has since been fired by Mets owner Steve Cohen.

And since the story had been published, he's gone. So here's why I'm pissed off.

I, upon reading this article by ESPN's Jeff Passen and Mina Kimes, as a woman in this industry who is constantly needing to feel she has to go the extra mile

to be taken seriously, this female reporter was so scared to say anything until she no longer

worked in the industry, you guys. Years later, years later, this happened back in 2016.

And do you know how much that sucks?

But I can relate.

Not too long ago, I was on the receiving end of some messages by an anonymous number that, I mean, they somehow got my personal number.

And they called me names that you would never call somebody.

Before I'm a reporter, y'all,

I'm a daughter. I'm a best friend. I'm an aunt. I do not understand why you would call

some of these women these things. And the reason why I didn't come forward and talk about this

too publicly was exactly that. Because these messages that I received, the public would easily

spin it and say, well, what did you do to deserve this? You know, what did you do to make this

person angry? Did you turn a guy down for a date? You must have said something to get these reactions.
