We're on Gernsey and we're on a wind-swept bluff looking at yet more absurd Nazi concrete.

But we're on our way, aren't we, to something completely different?

But this is what's interesting is, whichever way you look along the coastline,

and let's face it, Guernsey is all coastline, whichever way you look, there is concrete,

there is something built in. I mean in the far distance

on the far headland we can see one of the watch towers.

Which are remarkable pieces of architecture. I mean, from that point point of view it's got a score quite

highly I would say. I mean some of them I think it enhances the experience of being

on going in a peculiar way the sort of brutalism of those watchtowers I mean it's the sort of thing that a London

architect would have given his eye teeth to put on the South Bank in 1963 exactly but

yeah those things are all obvious but there's also some stuff here that's concealed.

And so we're going to go and look at one of the hidden, not quite so conspicuous bits of Nazi mega structuring here on Guernsey.

Well I'm really intrigued to see this because it's a hospital but it's underground and

why? Well I want to know is why would you do that why would you do that?

Yeah, what's wrong with it being above ground? I don't know anyway. We're gonna find out but yes
