Summary
Most anyone that was fortunate enough to attend summer camp as a child would tell you that it was one of the best experiences of their lives. For most, summer camp is so much more than just fun and games. It was a time when they learned valuable lessons that helped shape them into the people they are today. While summer camp is an essential part of childhood, it has not always been easily accessible for all children. To bring the gift of camp to every child, Allison Miller founded Happy Camper Live, a lifestyle brand focused on providing the magic of summer camp 365 days a year.
While Allison and her husband run a traditional summer camp, Allison always had the vision to expand summer camp to kids who can’t attend in person. As an extension of her work, Allison designed the happycamperlive website and app to provide free and subscription content that includes hundreds of activities taught by real camp counselors, a directory of over 10,000 camp programs, a global community and so much more. This platform was designed with the intention to help kids find their passions and be a part of something greater than themselves.
Tune into this episode of DearFound Her… to learn more about the importance of outsourcing, brand partnerships, and being resourceful so you can simplify your work process and develop a successful self-funded business.
