| 0:25.2 | And of course, as you know, we are in, well, a hydrocarbon crisis because of the war on Iran, |
| 0:31.2 | a war that Trump started, probably with some arm twisting from Netanyahu or even maybe just being ordered by |
| 0:39.3 | Netanyahu, who knows. But nevertheless, the war has been on for over three months now. |
| 0:44.8 | It's over three months. I mean, we're into what, week 13? Well into week 13. And because of this, |
| 0:51.9 | oil shipments, of course, you know, roughly 17 to 20%, something like that, of the world's surface oil shipment supply is, you know, is restricted, similar numbers or even higher numbers with natural gas, etc. |
| 1:08.5 | So you may have been hearing that California is going to run out of diesel |
| 1:15.6 | and that this is going to begin within four to six weeks. |
| 1:21.2 | You may have heard that. |
| 1:23.2 | And according to some, they're concerned that this could thrust California into a |
| 1:26.9 | mad max scenario with no food, no fuel, etc. |
| 1:31.3 | All right. |
| 1:31.8 | So first, the good news is that we're not going to have a total collapse of diesel fuel in California. |
| 1:41.4 | However, it is absolutely true that California, because of its left leanings, has shut down almost all refineries. |
| 1:50.7 | Not all, but mostly they have refineries that produce diesel fuel. |
| 1:55.0 | And also California has shut down all pipelines that would deliver refined products to California. |
| 2:04.4 | Basically, they've turned California into a fuel island. |
| 2:09.3 | And as a result, there's no backup plan for shortages of diesel, |
| 2:22.1 | and the state has to rely on in-state refining plus some imports via C from some tankers. But the tankers are not able to keep up with the demand. |
| 2:30.8 | Because, you know, there's a lot of roads in California, a lot of driving all throughout L.A., etc. |
| 2:37.2 | So here's the reality of what's actually going to happen. |
