Volkswagen has received 30 million euros to build the new ID1 in Portugal. will be its smallest and cheapest electric vehicle, smaller than the old E-Up. Well, I need to check dimensions, but this will be certainly the smallest thing that they sell in the next generation of the W electric vehicles. And it'll come with the software from the Rivian partnership, as well, a truly software-defined vehicle, they say.

Uber has signed a new CEO for their freight to electrify that business and drive it forward,

for growing networks and connecting systems, speeding up EV adoption. Now the CEO of Uber Freight.

It'll be interesting to see how businesses like Uber electrify under her leadership.

The 2026 model year, Toyota BZ in the United States, starts at $36,350, including

destination, but is significantly better than the outgoing version. The battery is a little bit bigger,

but you get 60 miles more range. The 26 Chevy, Chevy Equinox is also a little bit more

expensive, however, starting at 36-495 with destination about the same price as that Toyota.

They're adding the dual-level charge cord back in the standard used to be a paid-for extra.

The BYD Ato2 is arriving in the United Kingdom starting at

31,000 pounds. They say a premium compact crossover, but you are going up against established

names at around £31,000. You're going to have to argue me away from a Kia EV-3 at low-30s.

B-YD, saying the Attoe, with its 50-something kilowatt, 51-kilow hour battery, only charging

at 80 kilowatts, that's a very slow peak charge speed, not particularly well specified for,

I think, quite a reasonable amount of money in terms of quite a lot of money for what the vehicle

is.
