you need to know. Hyundai is achieving record sales. Hyundai Motor America, specifically I'm talking

about, and they have to thank, well, electric vehicles. Electrified sales up 15% in July

over the same time last year. Record sales up 71% retail sales for the Ionic 5. That continues to be a very desirable vehicle. MG is going premium down under the I.M.5 and I.m6 pricing starts at $61,000 Aussie dollars, goes up to 81,000

Aussie dollars. These are premium vehicles. 100 kilowatt hour battery, all-wheel drive, rear-wheel

steering, 800-volt platform. In the big battery rear-wheel drive version, over 400 miles, 407 miles, WLTP range.

These are not your value-oriented MGs that you might be thinking of.

They're not really MGs, to be honest.

Now, Tesla has been ordered to pay $329 million in damages.

A federal jury in Miami ordered Tesla to pay damages for a 2019 crash

in Florida Keys. That's killed a woman and autopilots found partly to blame. Tesla normally

avoid these cases. They settle out of court. It never normally gets this far to a jury trial. Will it change the trajectory of full self-driving autopilot? I would say no. I don't think it'll change anything at Tesla. Will it emboldened other cases that have been investigated, looked into, where people have been injured

or worse, with autopilot and full self-driving turned on. Well, that is, I know, doesn't bring

anybody back, but that is an awful lot of money, isn't it? So I would think we'd see more of these

things heading to the core. Now, Tesla is facing a July sales drop in key European markets. I haven't got the big

markets like Germany and UK data yet, but down in Sweden, only 163 vehicles sold there. Mind you,

they are up against, there's a bit of a Tesla war against the Swedish unions, not just the unions,

like the way of life in Sweden, which is very unionized. And so not surprised about that. Up in Norway, by the way,

that did well in July. Spain was up. But other markets, Denmark was down 52% France.

I had a really bad month for Tesla as well. Tesla is expanding its supercharging network in

Portugal, adding over 90 supercharger stalls in seven Portuguese cities.
