In a surprise episode this week, we are taking you to the set of Bridgeton.

You can't have missed the fact that Bridgeton is back on our screens and series two.

And last November, I drove down to Slough to have a sneak preview of all the fashion and jewelry for Bridgeton.

It was an incredibly gloomy, wet day. But the minute I arrived, I was sort of swamped in

sunshine because it's always summer in the Georgian corner of London called Bridgeton. And as I walked in,

the place was a wash with brightly coloured sequins, beads, silks, tools piled high like a rainbow

rolling from the floor to the ceiling, zesty orange and yellow empire-lined frocks sparkling with

10,000 crystals. There were trays of lime and raspberry jewels with metres of crystal tiaras and chokers. Some of them just marked for the crowd,

not even for the main personalities. And immediately it became clear to me that there's even more

of everything in series two. Bridgeton is bedazzled, bejeweled and embellished in the extreme.

Some of the characters had actually left to go to film at the stately Routian Park nearby.
