Pretty Good Vibrations has been mostly on hiatus during this year of intense internship,

but I, as will be clear in the coming months, I'm trying out some ideas for how to

kind of keep it going in a more sustainable way. But in the meantime, unrelated to that,

today is an episode that just feels like it fits on both feeds. You have permission listeners.

You, depending on the order of episodes released, you will remember my guest today, David Zoll,

my collaborator, I should say, from possibly an episode as early ago as one week ago.

I don't know when these are coming out, but David was on here talking with me not about the

Beach Boys, but at the very end of that episode, we kind of came upon this shared deep love of the Beach Boys. And I'm saying

the kind of depth where the Tobias Fuenke meme, there are dozens of us, applies almost, you know,

maybe there's, maybe there's hundreds. I don't know, a thousand. It's not that many people

that have our level of Beach Boys fandom in the English

speaking world. David, thank you for coming back to join me to commemorate the passing of

the legend Brian Wilson, the goat. I would say the greatest American popular composer. That would

be my sort of take on it. I don't know how you would define his work, but thanks for being back.
