You know, the London black cab is a British icon.

It's one of the first things I connected with when I came to this country some 20 years ago.

It was my own personal limousine and the drivers themselves are just this incredible salt of the earth type person.

every morning, but every night I take a black taxi home. I talk to

these guys. They all know who I am because I spoke to Steve McNamara on London Real. And one of my

drivers day the night, he said, Brian, I've been driving around for six hours. You're my only fare.

20 pound fare was his only fare. And he'd been driving around six hours this is real this is crucial

and we've got to act now to protect this and this incredible part of our DNA here in london and here in the

UK drivers now are doing desperate things some of them they're selling their taxis way below market

value and many of them have seen no income at all since March.

One of the big taxi cabs associations was saying they went from a 95% of occupancy of the taxis

they were using down to 10% now. And on top of that, when Steve was in my studio, he said, Brian, you don't understand
