We all know that the hospitality sector is one of the lifebloods of the British economy,

employing some four and a half million people throughout the country

and responsible for 120 billion pounds of revenue generated to this country,

which is why many mayors in the north,

Liverpool, Sheffield, Manchester,

are resisting this latest three-tier lockdown plan

because they know it robs their citizens

of their very livelihood,

which is also super important for our mental health

and our physical health and keeping jobs

from going bankrupt forever.

And so it's also important to note that these hospitality sectors and pubs and restaurants

are only responsible for 3.3% of COVID transmission.

And that's according to Public Health England's very own data.

And that's why the mayors up north are fighting so hard, tooth and nail,

because they don't see the science justifying the lockdown.

They never saw it justifying the curfew.

And now they don't see it justifying the lockdown whatsoever.

And they're right.

And yet in the city of London where I live where there's nine million citizens, we see the

opposite. We see a mayor here encouraging, actually lobbying the government in order to raise

the current COVID restriction lockdown status.
