Well, how, how, what, I think it's Monday.

How is your Monday going?

I took a red eye from Portland, snuck in about two hours, woke up to the initial report

from our colleague Bruce Feldman,

um,

that Brian Kelly and LSU had some interest.

And when I thought that portion of the day was done,

I finally tried to be a good husband and father and we went out for pizza and

we were going to get our Christmas tree.

And the minute we sat down after we ordered, the news broke.

And I was like, honey, we got to get this to go.

And I lied to my kid and said the Christmas tree outlet closed early tonight and we'll have to go another day.

And I've been on the phone and talking to you ever since.

So look, this is like out of character for me to say maybe I'm just really, really naive,

much more naive than I ever thought I'd be.

I had no freaking clue that this was coming.

Like there was not like completely blindsided me, completely blindsided.

I think everyone, at least everyone I've talked to around the Notre Dame football program

tonight, I'm sure with you as well.
