0:21.3	Dr. Malhorta, welcome to Dark Horse. Thank you, Brett. Lovely to be here.
0:25.7	Yeah. So many in my audience will be familiar with your story, but some will not. I know you as someone
0:36.0	who has been a very forceful voice in the COVID-19 community, but a late emerging one. Do you want to
0:46.5	explain how you ended up as a COVID-19 dissident before we get into the questions that are raised by it?
0:54.2	Sure. It's a great question, Brett. So I think for me more recently, this label of being a COVID
1:02.4	dissident has come from my U-turn, if you like, or I would more likely want to describe it as
1:08.7	evolution in my understanding of the benefits and harms of the COVID-19 vaccine, specifically the
1:17.1	mRNA vaccine, so the Pfizer-Miduna vaccines. And I was actually one of the public advocates,
1:26.7	very early on in the pandemic, when the vaccine roll started in December of 2020, January 2021.
1:35.4	I was one of the first to take two doses of the Pfizer vaccine. And a month later, I was actually
1:41.5	on Good Morning Britain, trying to help tackle, in a compassionate way, vaccine hesitancy,
1:49.4	which was particularly prevalent amongst the ethnic minority communities in the UK. And I know
1:55.3	that's similar in the US, because I convinced a friend of mine who's a well-known film director
2:00.0	called Garinda Chudder, well known for movies like Bended by Beckham, Blinded by the Light,
2:05.0	which is on Bruce Springsteen. She was receiving a lot of what at the time I felt was in quotes,
2:13.9	anti-vax misinformation through blogs, and asked me around whether or not she should take the vaccine.
2:20.3	And I said to her, the same vaccines, and I still believe this to be the case, in traditional vaccines,
2:25.6	certainly one of the most safest pharmacological interventions in the history of medicine.
2:30.0	So I didn't in any way shape or form even conceive of the possibility of any vaccine causing
