Hey, this is Craig, and this week's podcast has only been about two years in the making, at least.

Brent Burns is, it's got to be one of my favorite players to interview for a lot of reasons,

but mostly because our conversations

tend to steer completely outside the world of hockey.

And I think for a guy who, you know, hockey players have to talk about the game and

what happened last night on that play and all that.

And, you know, that can, I'm sure, get old.

And so I think we both enjoy when the conversations go completely sideways.

And they always tend to do because thankfully a lot of times I don't have to write about what

happened in the last game and on the last play.

So they make for fun conversations.

And I can tell you, like truthfully, when I bought, for instance, when I bought

a RV with my family a few years ago, the first person I texted, I think besides my parents,

was Brent to let him know in a picture of my kids on doing it, because I knew it was something

he was into. He'd actually, at the awards in Vegas, had given me a tour of his, parked in the

encore parking lot, plugged into the sign, basically.

And it's just, we've always had a lot of fun conversations around a lot of different things.

And so we had the opportunity, because the season is on pause where Brent was back in,

in Texas at his ranch with his family, actually had the time to sit down and have an

extended conversation.
