| 0:09.0 | And now, here's your host, Emmett Kennedy. |
| 0:12.0 | You are welcome to a Final Furland podcast, Breeders' Cup special. |
| 0:15.0 | We had a lot of fun with this show last year, so we're going to expand it out. |
| 0:18.0 | Once again, we've got the host and founder of the American version of the Final Frontland podcast, the Essential American Horse Racing podcast, the Triple H Racing podcast. It's our great friend Howard Kravitz. I was on his show on Friday. I'm delighted to have Howard back with us. And two of his regular contributors, two of the brightest young minds in horse racing, who have made us a disgustingly large amount of money |
| 0:39.4 | this year by cracking trifectives and pick fives and multiple big priced winners and the undercards |
| 0:45.4 | for the preakness and the belmont. I'm delighted to say that we got Ryan Anderson from the Gallup |
| 0:50.0 | out and from the AAA tracing podcast and Charlie Freeman from the AAA tracing podcast both back with us as well. Irish American trainer Tim Shaw will join us in a little bit. Boys, it's great to have you all back on the show. Thank you very much for joining us as the countdown continues to the Breeders Cup. Howard, what is the single biggest betting edge at Delmar that UK and Irish punters can try and take advantage of that we might not see if we're just watching the TV coverage. |
| 1:21.8 | Well, thanks for having us on. Emmett really appreciate it. We're extremely excited about the Breeders' Cup coming up here with the draw, actually happening about two hours from us filming right now. |
| 1:27.4 | I think Bob Baffert's going to take a lot of money that is unwarranted. How about that? We all know Bob Bafford is one of the best dirt trainers in the history of our game. There's no doubt about it. He's like A.N. O'Brien, right, except the dirt version. The problem, I'm at least in my humble opinion, and I'm sure Ryan and I would like to chime in is he's often, |
| 1:47.3 | his horses are often underlays or overbets. |
| 1:49.2 | And that's going to happen again this weekend. |
| 1:51.5 | I think there's a very strong possibility. |
| 1:53.4 | He does not win a race on Friday, |
| 1:57.4 | the future stars Friday for the two-year-olds. |
| 2:39.2 | He probably will win one race on Saturday. That might be it. I mean, he could win a few. I just think he's going to be over-bett, and he's not the end-all-be-all in this year's Breeders' Cup, which is surprising to say, especially because it's in beautiful Delmar race course in San Diego. Well, that's very intriguing because on this side of the pond, he's going to have the first and second favorite for the juvenile Phillies of the top of my head. And we get to talk about Charlie's favorite horse Citizen Bull and the Dirt Mile a little bit later on. Shout out, Citizen Bull. You might not cover your ears when Charlie gets stuck into that race a little bit later. Ryan, let's talk briefly about the draw. So for the range of distances on both turf and dirt, where do you want to be drawn ideally at Delmar? |
| 2:41.3 | Yeah, that's a good question. |
| 2:43.1 | Obviously, a variety of distances. |
| 2:45.3 | And thanks for having us on here. |
| 2:46.4 | This is going to be a lot of fun. |
| 2:50.4 | I would say the race that matters the least for post position is the Breeders' Cup classic. You have the entire length of the stretch. I don't think, I don't even take posts into consideration. David Arragona, who makes the morning lines, he has those that are going to be released as the draw is done, and they have given him the time to adjust every other race for the morning lines because they are going to be affected, you know, judging by, based on where you go. I would say the race that it matters the most is going to be the turf sprints. Those are run at five furlongs. Saving ground is a paramount importance at Del Mar. I would say that's kind of, you know, the number one that you want to watch in terms of post position and where it matters. I would say second on that list |
