not to Honduras, but rather to a five-star luxury hotel, the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

got some special treatment from this White House. His name is Juan Orlando Hernandez. You know that

he was pardoned by

Trump. He was tried and convicted in the United States in 2024, sentenced to 45 years in federal

prison for dating bribes and allowing traffickers to export more than 400 tons of cocaine to the

United States. Now Hernandez says that he's been, quote, treated very harshly and unfairly, but the records

show otherwise because when he was released, he didn't just walk out of prison.

Despite budget and staffing shortages at the Bureau of Prisons, prison officials paid a specialized

tactical team overtime to drive Hernandez from a highly

secure facility in West Virginia to the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. Before he left,

according to reports, he was allowed to use the captain's government phone to talk to the
