by Wisconsin, the now Michigan State, I guess, alum, is a Philadelphia flyer.

It was announced about 40 minutes ago that he signed his entry-level contract.

He is signed, sealed, and delivered a member of the Philadelphia Flyers.

The day we have been waiting for, the sixth overall pick from the 2025 draft is here.

The Flyers first sent out a video of him on the escalator, I guess watching his draft.

And now, and then a few minutes later tweeted out that he had, in fact, officially signed,

which I was worried about.

Because I was like, why are they showing him leaving?

No.

Of course you were worried, William.

you're the voice of, of the crazy fan who finds every reason to worry about everything. He was

always going to sign. Yeah. He's, he's in their jersey doing a video for their social media

team, but he's on his way out, so I was worried. Now, uh, joining me in the Xfinity Mobile Studio, it is Charlie O'Connor. Charlie, how you feeling about this? I'm not thrilled. Porter Martone's one of the best prospects in hockey. There's a case to you made. He is the best prospect in hockey in terms of players not yet in the NHL. He's right up in that top five mix. This is a great moment for the Flyers. We'll see how he is in the NHL, but it vindicates at this point, their selection of Porta Martone. He's still a top end prospect. He had a great freshman year of Michigan State. And for me personally, I'm just happy I no longer have to deal with fans who are in full dumer mode

and expect he's not going to sign.

Well, he has.

For me personally, it's a great day.

He has in fact signed and is a great day for Flyers fans of all ilks.
