Ivan Fidotov traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets. So, Philadelphia has once again traded a Russian goaltender with minimal NHL experience to Columbus.

Let's see how it works out.

Yeah, that was one of the first people in my mention saying the Bob Roth's, the obvious Bobrovsky joke.

There is obviously a big difference between trading a goalie with a ton of potential who was 23 going on 24

versus trading a goalie who is 28 going on 29, who already has a large cap hit and who has

not really shown much of anything at the NHL level. He has had a couple good games here and there,

but Ivan Vito Tsov. I do not think is going to magically turn into an all-star Vezna-level goalie in Columbus the way Sergey Barowski did.

It seems unlikely.

I would be shocked.

The return kind of says the same thing.

It's Ivan Fidotov to Columbus, no salary retention, which might be the key of this.

The Flyers get a 2026 sixth round pick in return.
