John Jones called us last night and retired.

John Jones is officially retired.

Tom Aspinall is the heavyweight champion of the UFC.

And with that, we have a special breaking news edition here at post wrestling, John Pollock,

and called in for extra overtime duty here.

Jack Wannon, who is here with us a very long day for jack

as he was agglued to the television for all of the fights happening in baku and then who would

have thunk that the post-fight press conference in azurbanian would result in the news of john jones

retiring from the UFC.

Jack, how are you tonight?

I'm good. I'm a little shocked.

I mean, this story, this whole saga with John Jones in the heavyweight division and the Tom

Aspinall fight, ending with him walking away in the fight never happening.

It's not really shocking when I think about it, but still being in this moment where we are here,

where he says he's retired, at least Dana White says that John Jones says that he's retired.

But just being in this moment, you kind of, it caught me off guard today.

So it was a bit of a surprise.

Yeah.
